Our beer is good!
That’s not just us bragging, we’ve been independently assessed over a period of months by people who know what a good pint tastes like, and they agree. And they’ve given us a Cask Marque Award to prove it. We take great pride in the range of ales, lagers, wines and spirits that we offer which is why we have a couple of keen mixologists to make cocktails as well as capable cellar dwellers to look after the ales. So if there’s something you’d like, just ask. Maybe you’ll end up with your own signature drink…
Brackley Beer Festival

The Brackley Beer Festival, organised by Brackley and District Round Table, raises thousands of pounds for charity every year and we love it ! With around 50 ales to sample in Brackley Town Hall, and live music in the Lion and across on the market square, it’s a relaxed and sociable day out.
It gets bigger and bigger every year as its excellent reputation grows, so come and make some new friends, try a few ales and soak up the atmosphere…
May Day
We’ve been getting up early to see in May Day for as long as we can remember, and they’ve all been pretty unforgetable. We’re open at 06:00 for champagne breakfast with the Morris Men and other May revellers, and then there’s more singing, dancing and celebrating as the morning goes on.
The traditional hog roast starts around noon, with live music throughout the afternoon and evening. Come down and enjoy a very British celebration and greet the May morn with us.
